3D PRINTING SERVICE

Q: I have some files I would like to 3D Print. What do I do next?

Please send us the files via email to makeyverse@gmail.com. We will respond personally and directly via this email. This is currently the best way to send us files  and correspond with us for 3D Printing.

Q: What file types do we accept for 3D Printing?

For faster processing, we prefer .STL files. However, you may send us files in other file formats such as .STEP and .OBJ, and depending on our current software compatibility we will let you know if we are able to process your files for 3D Printing

Q: If I do not have a 3D file but I have an idea of what I want to print/make, how do I proceed?

Under our Design Consultation services, we will work together with you to conceptualise solutions and generate designs that meets your needs.

Q: What are the available Materials, Colours and Printing methods?

Currently for FDM we have PLA (plastic), TPU (Flexible rubber-like material) and PETG Carbon Fiber available. We are also offering high-strength plastic manufactured using industrial SLA at a competitive price.

For PLA and TPU, we have multiple colours on offer. However, for faster printing, white, black and transparent (PLA only) is preferred. For SLA grey, white, and transparent is available.

Q: What is the largest dimensions available for 3D printing?

Our main fleet of 3D printers have a build volume of 220x220x250mm. Sending prints within these dimensions ensure that you can get your prints faster.

Our large 3D printers have a maximum print volume of 350x350x400mm. However, due to the limited number of these machines, your prints may take longer to complete.

For prints exceeding these dimensions up to 1000x1000x1000mm, we may still be able to print them on a case-by-case basis. Do contact us for more information.

Q: What is the typical lead time?

Lead time is highly dependent on the size of the print. Our usual minimum lead time is 1 day for extremely small files in low quantity, but on special request we may be able to finish your prints on the same day. Typical lea time ranges from 3 days to a week, but some prints may require longer than that.

Q: How to I collect my 3D Prints when they are done?

We offer a variety of shipping options:

  • Self pick up at Upper Changi MRT/ SUTD Entrepreneurship Centre is complimentary.

  • Delivery: $10.00 to $20.00 per delivery. For fragile items, delivery starts at $20.00 as we will personally hand-deliver your prints.
